5. Casting

Casting

When it came to casting two teenage boys I needed to make sure that they looked similar to the age of someone being around 15. For this I cast two boys who were aged 16. 

The two people I cast were:

Male 1: Jake Afford

Male 2: Jack Tennant

 

I picked these two as they around the age of the character that I want them to play and I knew that I could rely on them both to be there when I needed to shoot the project. I also had to cast two other characters just in case the other two main characters could not for some reason make it to the shoot. the two people I settled for were:

Backup Male 1: Brandon Wright

 

Backup Male 2: Joseph Clough

I selected these two as they were both reliable if I needed them last minute and they were also the right age for the character role I wanted them to play.

I then told the two main characters what they would need to wear for the characters. Male 1 had to wear some jeans with a coat on and Male 2 had to wear some tracksuit bottoms with a standard jumper. I chose these costumes as I felt that this was exactly what average teenagers would wear when just having a casual kick about with each other. I wanted to give the idea that they wear just your average teens that happened to discover the dead body. This will be conveyed through the characters I have picked.
